  • People say, if you don't like the weather in Mississippi, just wait a couple of days. Others say, if you don't like the weather in Mississippi, just wait a few minutes. Many days here in the Deep South you wake up and turn the heater on, only to switch over to the air conditioner by the afternoon and sometimes the opposite is true. This morning it was rainy but warm. Now at mid-afternoon the rain has stopped but temps have dropped and are headed toward the freezing mark. Not to worry, by the end of the week temps will be back in the 70's. After all, it is January!

The Strawberry Cafe is located in the historic railroad depot at the heart of Madison. The Strawberry Cafe was the first restaurant in Madison, established in 1987. It was named after the fact that strawberries were produced in the area and distributed by train from the railroad depot; therefore, creating Madison. The current owners bought the café in August of 2005, changing everything except the name, in hopes of creating a restaurant in Madison with a comfortable atmosphere and great food. The cafe is said to have a great variety of menu items and a fantastic atmosphere. Some reviews said it was also a great place for a supper club and that the service is top notch. Great job, Strawberry Cafe!
