Pass Christian is one of those small towns you may only consider passing through until you actually do! With a plethora of outstanding local dining options, a stunning waterfront park draped in Oaks, and miles of white-sand beaches, Pass Christian is the perfect place to escape for the summer! Rich in history, the beachfront scenic drive displays an amazing collection of historic homes. Take in the beauty of the builds while strolling to War Memorial Park. You'll often find the park to be hosting a local farmers market, art show, festival, wedding, or other community events. Since you're close, stop by Shaggy's Grill and enjoy fresh local seafood with a harbor view. If seafood isn't for you, try one of the famous roast beef Po'boys at Pirates Cove, a local favorite! You may not want to get your fur baby sandy at the beach, but no worries! Trinity Dog Park recently opened in Pass Christian with the motto "Sit. Play. Stay."

You thought you would just pass through until you did! The charm and amenities of this Gulf Coast town will keep you coming back. Whether you stay a few days, come every summer, or decide to make it home, "The Pass" is the place to be!

I've been frequenting a little place in The Pass, Fill-up with Billups. Conveniently located near the Harbor off Scenic Drive, you're sure to enjoy yourself. The place has an old gas station charm to it creating a fun environment any time of day. My favorite meal is breakfast. The menu is traditional with a unique flair. I'm not going to lie, I've been hung up on one dish. Imagine this: a homemade biscuit, topped with cream cheese, seared ham, fried eggs, and Crawfish étoufée.

Do you ever crave a good burger? A burger so good that it'll have you thinking about it next time you hear the word burger? Think Sea Level.

Sea Level is as close to waterfront dining as you'll get in Pass Christian. The restaurant sits on the sand at the Harbor. Come as you are; "dine-in" is actually outdoors. Order your food at the window and plop down on a picnic table. They also have shrimp tacos and homemade spinach and artichoke rolls. It's my favorite place to go at sunset with iconic views.

I recently had the pleasure of showing homes in this area. A beautiful blend of waterfront and golf course locations, some homes offer views of both. A location you don't want to skip over when searching for your waterfront property.

When I first moved to Pass Christian I loved watching the sunset at the local piers near the harbor. Sadly, shortly after purchasing my home the piers were severely damaged during a storm and have remained damaged until recently. I have three beautiful sons all under the age of six. Boys are a handful, always needing an activity to occupy their running minds. It seems their attention span becomes shorter as they age as do the "new and exciting" places to visit.

Back to the piers. We happened to be driving along Beach Boulevard and I noticed a fisherman far off casting a line from the pier that my wife and I liked to visit when we first moved to the area. And with that glance, I quickly drove into the harbor and up to the edge of what was pure excitement for me. We unloaded our children and ran out over the water; the boys were dancing, laughing, and exploring - as was I.

The piers are a great place now. Whether you're casting a line, wanting to watch the sunset with the special person in your life, or just wanting to catch a salty breeze, I encourage you to visit the local piers in Pass Christian; you won't be disappointed.

The Pass used to be a famous summer home destination for the wealthy of New Orleans. They are responsible for building some of the historic mansions on Scenic Drive. Originally located in Pass Christian, The Southern Yacht Club, was the first yacht club in the South and the second established in the US. It is now located in New Orleans. The local Pass Christian Yacht Club was founded much later, mid 20th century.
