From the first time I showed a home in this beautiful, quiet neighborhood, I wanted to live here, and in 2006, we were blessed to move into this family-friendly subdivision. Minutes to I-10, Keesler AFB, and schools, The Promenade, and other shopping plazas, yet insulated from that hustle and bustle. Though there isn't a homeowners association, residents here take great pride in their homes/landscaping, and the layout of homes makes it easy for walking/jogging, be it yourself or you and your pets. It started as an Adams Home build; however, there are also some higher-end custom homes built here since Katrina. There is usually one or more homes for sale, and a few lots are still available for sale in case you want to be a part of this neighborhood. An interesting note is that although it's called Pelican Bayou, there aren't any pelicans, and the area is high and dry, no bayou in sight! My favorite thing to do is sit on my front porch having coffee with my husband as we enjoy our landscaping handiwork from the summer!
