USM tailgaiting is back again! This time of the year is such a great time for our community to come together and support our local college, The University of Southern Mississippi. On Saturday game days, the people of Hattiesburg are out tailgating all day! Southern Miss allows tailgaters to set up their spot at noon the day before the game. This is a fun and popular tradition at Southern Miss, come out and tailgate!

It's that time of the year!! USM football is back. The University of Southern Mississippi is the place to be on game days. Not only is the football entertaining to watch, but the sense of community before and during the game are what really makes these days so great! Tailgating with friends and family is so fun, and there are always tents set up with people that will welcome others with open arms. Right before the game, you can head over to the Eagle Walk and experience the true Southern Miss Fan Game Day! The Eagle Walk is a time when the band, cheerleaders, dixie darlings, football players, and coaches walk through the tunnel of fans in a parade fashion. Finally, the game begins, and the fun doesn't stop all night! Game days in Hattiesburg, MS are always a good time, so head out to Southern Miss and enjoy game day with your friends and family!

The Southern Miss business school is my alma mater. Expect the rise to the top to continue as the new business building, Scianna Hall, opens later this year! SMTTT!

Jones County Junior College is a long standing and very influential community college in the Pinebelt area. JCJC is the largest single-campus community college in the state of Mississippi and it has so much to offer from the academics to the athletics. Jones County Junior College offers academic programs in Business, Health, Science, Nursing, and more. Jones also has sports programs such as baseball, football, basketball, and soccer. You can even join intramural sports teams on campus. Jones is also known for its many technical career routes like Industrial Services or Health and Human Services. JCJC has something to offer everyone.

The University of Southern Mississippi started the 2015 season last night and it marked the 30th year of The Right Field Roost at Pete Taylor Park.
